My Story of Healing! It started about 7 years ago with me having pain every summer in my legs, knees & hips. I work a lot of hours in my retail shop. At the end of the Season I found that the pain was too much so I would go to the Dr. They prescribed me medications to reduce inflammation. It worked for a while & masked the symptoms, but 3 years ago I got much worse. My pain became so bad that I went from a VERY active person & working 60 + hours per week to bed-ridden. I was totally confused as to what was going on & very depressed & downright afraid. After going to many different Dr's, doing physical therapy & being on so many pills I cannot even count, I found myself literally in a fog. The Dr's were clueless as to what was going on with me until one finally *diagnosed* me as having Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome & Depression. I was also Obese & had High Triglycerides. Well, I had a *diagnosis* so now what??? I went through another round of new medications but nothing really helped. The medications left me in a fog & unable to live the way I wanted to live. It was time for me to take matters into my own hands. I started to read every book I could about Natural Healing. I tried numerous expensive supplements, which helped for a while. I researched the Internet & I found one thing that kept being mentioned: RAW FOODS !!! I bought my first Raw Book at a Natural food coop. It made total sense to me, but had no pictures so I kept researching until I found a site that changed my life! Thank You Alissa Cohen. I ordered her BOOK/DVD & I jumped into Raw & haven't looked back. Today I am pain free. I am off the pain medications, antidepressants, sleeping pills, etc. I've lost 30 pounds & regained my life! I am a much calmer person & more *grounded.* I look younger & feel more vibrant. If you think I eat celery & carrot sticks, just check out the photos. I have fun with RAW FOODS! |
Cholesterol before was 288, now it is 191 ! Triglycerides before was 350, now it is 123 ! LDL was 157 before, now is 112 ! In fact, all my numbers are right on target ! Needless to say, My Dr. is mighty impressed & I am thrilled. |
